Aldi and the RSPB

Buy a bag from Aldi and it won’t just carry your shopping home, it’ll also fund a national conservation programme. From July 2015, proceeds from our carrier bags have gone to helping the RSPB connect more than half a million children with nature. Profits from carrier bag sales in England and Wales are expected to see the charity receive donations in excess of £2m.

At present, the future looks bleak for bees, birds, bugs and mammals, with 60% in decline in England alone. By creating more outdoor spaces where nature can thrive, we can help get things back on track.

“It’s an honour to partner with the RSPB,” says Jonathan Neale, Aldi’s Managing Director of Corporate Buying. “They’re the UK’s biggest nature conservation charity, and with them we can leave a long-lasting legacy: a generation of children who are connected to nature, benefit from it, value our world and understand enough about it to make a real difference”.
