A delicious twist on a classic.
300g Fresh blackberries
3 x Baking apples
25g Granulated sugar
100ml Sloe Gin
250g Plain flour
60g Caster sugar
60g Soft brown sugar
125g Salted butter
1 x flat tsp Cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 190°C/380°F/Gas Mark 5. Put the flour, caster sugar, cinnamon and brown sugar in a bowl and mix well.
Cut up the butter into small chunks and add to the mix.
With your fingers rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Put the blackberries in the dish.
Peel, core and chop the apples into chunks the same size as the blackberries.
Sprinkle over the granulated sugar and drizzle over the gin.
Sprinkle the crumble mix over the top to cover completely and gently pat down.
Bake in the oven for 45 mins until golden.
Serve with either vanilla ice cream, custard or double cream.
