Jean Bouchard selects and develops his wines with the know-how of a sustainable vine growing. He proposes you all the diversity of the Burgundy of Chablis until Mâconnais, including Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

The Grand Vin de Bourgogne Chablis Premier Cru AOC has a beautiful straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The nose reveals a lovely minerality with notes of rose and peony alongside a gorgeous silky texture on the palate.

  • A unique wine region ...

  • Burgundy is made up of 28,715 ha of vines and boasts 100 AOCs (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée). Its geographical location, at the crossroads of Mediterranean and continental influences are perfect climatic conditions. The exposure and orientation of the vineyards, as well as its very unique soils and sub-soils, make it a most suitable place for the production of great wines.

  • A single grape varietal ...

  • The wines of Chablis are made from a single varietal: Chardonnay. Chablis is characterized by salty tang, its purity, its crystalline appearance, its floral notes, along with aromas of citrus and white-fleshed fruit. It also has a minerality, which derives from the limestone terroir. Its variations are infinite: in the mouth, it can be full (often called "fat"), vertical, saline, taut, or forthright.

  • The natural extension of the Côte de Beaune ...

  • Between the Côte de Beaune to the north and the hills of the Mâconnais to the south, the Côte Chalonnaise is around 25 km (15.5 miles) long by 7 km (4.3 miles) wide. Here, in the heart of a landscape spiked with hills, the plots of vines have been planted on the best southeast-facing slopes. For thousands of years, the vines have plunged their roots into soil similar to those of the nearby Côte de Beaune. Enjoying hot summers and dry weather in the fall, the grapes have no problem ripening here.
