February's Fresh Inspiration

We aim to always offer our customers the freshest fruit and vegetables. We believe everyone should enjoy the benefits of fresh produce every day that’s why every month we showcase six of our favourites for you to make the most of. See what will inspire you in the kitchen this week...

  • Asparagus

Packed with vitamin C and A, asparagus is nutritious, delicious and so versatile. Roast, grill, steam, stir fry or enjoy raw in salads or with feta cheese. You can even add them to smoothies.
  • Lemons

High in vitamin C, low in calories, with no fat or cholesterol – lemons are ideal as a garnish or as flavouring for drinks and baking, icing and marinades. Lemon juice can also be frozen and used later.
  • Chantenay carrots

The carrots kids love! Crisp, sweet and carroty, their small size means they just need a wash and they can be served whole or halved. Cook as any other carrot or serve whole as a snack or with a dip.
  • Mangetout

Eaten whole, this snow or sugar pea is a sweet treat which can be eaten raw or steamed, stirfried or boiled. Its name comes from the French for ‘eat all’, which is exactly what you do!
