Super quick and easy to make classic German pancakes
Savoury Potato Pancakes
800g Maris Piper Potatoes
1 Red Onion
1 Large Egg
80g Plain Flour
4 Garlic Cloves
2 tsp Oregano
Sea Salt and Black Pepper
Peel and grate the potatoes.
Peel and mince the garlic.
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Mix the potatoes, onion and garlic in a bowl.
Heat the milk until just boiling and then pour over the potato mixture.
Mix well, then season with salt, pepper and oregano.
Whisk the egg and mix in along with the flour, then divide the mixture into 4.
Heat some oil in a pan and put one portion into the pan. Flatten into a 20cm circle and fry each side for 3-5 minutes.
Keep warm while you cook the rest.
