Grilled Apple and Berry Granola Compote

A tasty compote, perfect with yoghurt.

Ingredients
- 2 x apples
- 100g blackberries
- 100g cherries
- 1 x 80g pack pomegranate seeds
- 140g Granola
- 1 x 300ml crème fraîche
- Juice x 1 lemon
- 50g brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 125ml water
Method
- Stone the cherries.
- Core the apples and cut into eighths.
- Mix the lemon juice with the water.
- Put the apple wedges into the water and stir – to prevent browning.
- Preheat the grill to high.
- Drain the apples and put onto a baking sheet – grill 6/ 8 mins – turning as you cook till slightly browned.
- Put the lemon juice water, sugar and cinnamon in a small saucepan and heat to melt the sugar.
- Add the cherries and blackberries and gently cook for a couple of mins.
- Add the grilled apples.
- Divide the mixture between 4 bowls along with the granola, pomegranate seeds and crème fraîche and serve slightly warm.
