Stuffed French Toast Bagels

Ingredients

  • 4 White Bagels
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower Oil, for frying

For the fillings:

  • 1 heaped tbsp Seedless Raspberry Jam
  • 1 heaped tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 1 heaped tbsp Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
  • 1 heaped tbsp Caramelised Biscuit Spread

  

Method

  1. Slice the bagels in half portrait, then scoop out the dough from the middle of the bagels and discard. Fill each of the hollowed-out bagels with one of the fillings and press the top of the bagels back on.
  2. Whisk the egg and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Soak each bagel in the bowl coating both sides.
  3. Heat a non-stick frying pan with a little oil on a medium heat, cook each bagel on each side for 3-4 minutes until golden and crisp.
  4. Take a saucer and mix the sugar and cinnamon together using a spoon. Place each hot bagel in the sugar to coat, slice and serve whilst still hot.
