Cinnamon Bun Dessert Gnocchi

Sweet and sugary.

Ingredients

For the cinnamon sugar gnocchi:

  • 500g Gnocchi
  • 50g Butter
  • 2 tbsp Soft Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

For the cream cheese frosting:

  • 90g Low Fat Natural Yoghurt
  • 60g Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract  

  

Method

  1. Bring a large pan of water to a boil and add the gnocchi and cook for 2 minutes until they float.
  2. Air-fry for a couple of minutes until it starts to brown, then add the sugar and cinnamon and continue to cook until nicely caramelised.
  3. Alternatively, melt some butter in a frying pan and add the cooked gnocchi, then pan fry for a few minutes until brown and add the sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Stir together all the ingredients for the cream cheese frosting.
  5. Top the cinnamon gnocchi with the cream cheese mixture and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, then serve warm.
