Peach Pavlova Pain Au Chocolat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 x 6 Village Bakery Frozen Pain au Chocolate
  • 2 Peaches
  • 200ml Double Cream
  • 15g Dark Chocolate
  • 1tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 Egg, beaten

Requires:

  • 1lb Cake Tin

  

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
  2. Line a 1lb cake tin with non-stick baking parchment paper and brush with the melted butter.
  3. Allow the pain au chocolates to begin defrosting slightly (10 minutes at room temperature)
  4. Once defrosted, place them in the loaf tin by layering at different angles and brush with the egg wash.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, covering the tin with foil for the last twenty minutes.
  6. Allow the loaf to cool in the tin.
  7. Slice the peach into small segments and discard the stone. Lightly whip the cream and grate the chocolate.
  8. Carefully remove the loaf from the tin and cut into thick slices with a sharp knife.
  9. Top with some of the whipped cream, sliced peaches and grated chocolate shavings.
