Pigs in a Duvet with Gravy Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 x 320g pack Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
  • 16 Specially Selected Pork Chipolatas
  • 1 Small Egg
  • 15ml Milk
  • Sea Salt

The dip:

  • 55g Specially Selected Beef Gravy Granules
  • 60ml Boiling Water
  • 30g Mayonnaise

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c/Gas 5
  2. Line a baking sheet with some non-stick parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the pastry.
  4. Put two of the sausages next to each other on the shortest side of the pastry.
  5. Remove the sausages and cut the pastry lengthways into 6 strips.
  6. Put the strips onto the lined baking sheet, then put the two sausages on the top.
  7. Plait the pastry around them, adding another line of sausages until you have used them up.
  8. Crack the egg in a cup, add the milk and whisk well, then brush the egg wash over the pastry.
  9. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until golden.
  10. To make the dipping gravy, pour the boiling water over the gravy granules and mix until thickened, then add the mayonnaise and mix well.
  11. Serve the Pigs in a Duvet alongside the dip.
