Aldi Terms and Conditions Chief Easter Egg Officer (CEEO) Competition 2025       

The Promoter is Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ.Our company number is 02321869.

How to enter:

  1. To enter the competition, applicants must send an email to ChiefEasterEggOfficer@aldi.co.uk, including a video of no longer than 1 minute in duration which confirms the entrants full name, age and where they’re from; what their favourite chocolate is and why they should be the CEEO.
  2. Applicants under the age of 18 must have the permission of and be submitted by their parent or guardian (whom will be the applicant for the purposes of the Competition and these terms and conditions). If a winning submission features anyone under the age of 18, their parent or guardian will be required to enter into a consent form on their behalf.    
  3. The Competition commences at 8:00am on 25.03.2025 to 11:59pm on 03.04.2025 (the “Closing Date”).    
  4. All entries received after 11:59pm on 03.04.2025 will be automatically disqualified.

CHOOSING THE CEEO

  1. One winner will be chosen from all valid entries.
    1. After the closing date, the CEEO shall be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
    2. The decision of the panel of judges will be final.
    3. The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the Competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the Promoter’s registered office.
  2. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical failures of any kind or any unauthorised intervention in any part of the entry process, nor for any technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of this Competition or the processing of entries.
  3. Entries must not contain material that:
    1. is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory or anything similar;
    2. promotes irresponsible or excessive drinking; or
    3. may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
    4. Entrants acknowledge that other entrants may have submitted ideas and concepts that may be similar to their entry, and that they will not be entitled to any compensation or right to negotiate with the Promoter over such matters.
    5. Entrants warrant that their entries are their own original creation and have not been copied and/or reposted from any other persons.
    6. In the event of any dispute regarding the winner, the decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

CONTACTING THE CEEO

  1. The Promoter will attempt to contact the chosen CEEO by email on or before 11.04.2025.
  2. Appointment as CEEO is subject to the chosen CEEO:
    1. providing the Promoter with satisfactory proof of their age;
    2. confirming their full name and the physical address to which the Easter eggs to be reviewed should be sent;
    3. confirming their availability to be the CEEO.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to offer a place to become the CEEO to a different entrant if the chosen CEEO:
    1. cannot reasonably be contacted by the Promoter within one week of the Promoter’s first attempt to do so;
    2. does not provide the Promoter with the information and/or confirmations required under paragraph 5 above; or
    3. is removed as CEEO because of a breach of these Terms.
    4. Appointment as CEEO is not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

CHIEF EASTER EGG TASTER RULES AND PROCEDURES

  1. The winner will receive 10 Easter eggs;
  2. The winner will be required to submit a review of the Easter eggs (the “Reviews”).
  3. The winner will be sent an information pack detailing further information, instructions and guidance on writing or recording the Reviews.
  4. The winner will be required to share their Reviews in accordance with the instructions that will be provided to them by the Promoter.
  5. The CEEO must act in good faith when writing their reviews, and must, in particular, ensure that such reviews reflect their honestly held opinions.
  6. The Promoter and/or its agents have the right to edit the Reviews as necessary from a formatting perspective.
  7. The Reviews may be published and shared across all of the Promoter’s UKchannels (including across the Promoter’s PR, digital, recruitment, social media channels and leaflet). By entering this Competition, you grant the Promoter the right to use, publish and/or share any Review that you create, in any that way it chooses.
  8. The prize is non-refundable, non-changeable and no cash alternative will be given.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.
  10. The CEEO must not:
    1. breach any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
    2. act in any way that is fraudulent, or has a fraudulent purpose or effect;
    3. upload material which is obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, promotes violence or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
    4. upload material in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or duty of confidence;
    5. impersonate any person, or to misrepresent their identity or affiliation with any person;
    6. endorse, or imply the Promoter’s endorsement of, any political party;
    7. abuse, defame, harass, embarrass or threaten others;
    8. knowingly attempt to upload or attach malicious programs or software that may compromise others’ operating systems; or
    9. knowingly upload or post information that is in breach of intellectual property laws.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to:
    1. remove the CEEO if the Promoter reasonably considers that the member’s behaviour is in breach of these Terms;
    2. substitute the CEEO with runners-up chosen through the Competition process, or otherwise through later competitions;
    3. appoint more than one CEEO at any time; and
    4. close the Competition at any time and for any reason.
    5. The CEEO may withdraw from the Competition at any time and for any reason and Aldi reserves its right to appoint a replacement CEEO if necessary.

ALDI CHIEF EASTER EGG TASTER PUBLICITY

You agree that if you become the CEEO your details may be used in post-Competition publicity. Details of this use are set out in the ALDI Customer Privacy Policy https://www.aldi.co.uk/how-we-use-your-personal-data-special-purposes.

  1. By entering this competition you hereby assign to the Promoter, and waive your moral rights in, the copyright and all other intellectual property rights whatsoever in your entry and confirm that you have no rights in any promotional or advertising material or similar which arises out of, or is in connection, with this competition.
  2. The name and county of residence of the CEEO may be announced on ALDI’s @ALDIUK X and @aldiuk Instagram page and @aldiuk TikTok page within 28 days of the end of the Competition.

DATA PROTECTION

  1. Insofar as the Promotor becomes a controller of any personal data relating to entrants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the current competition only.   The details of the Promoter’s privacy policy including details on how to exercise any rights under the data protection legislation can be found at www.aldi.co.uk/privacy
  2. Subject to clause 21 above, no personal data of entrants held and/or processed by the Promoter will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the competition, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU

  1. If the Promoter fails to comply with these Terms it will be responsible for the loss or damage which you suffer which is a foreseeable result of its breach of the Terms or its negligence. However, the Promoter will not be responsible for loss or damage which is not foreseeable or which is outside of the Promoter’s reasonable control.
  2. No responsibility or liability will be accepted by the Promoter for entries which are not received, received after the closing date or are lost in transmission for any reason. Proof of sending or transmission will not be accepted as proof of entry. Corrupted, damaged, unintelligible, illegible, inaudible or incomplete entries will be invalid.

GENERAL

  1. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that does comply with these terms and conditions.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion if circumstances arise which are beyond its control.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the competition or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person deliberately to undermine the legitimate operation of the competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law and, should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Promoter’s failure to enforce any of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  4. Except where prohibited, entrants agree that:
    1. any and all claims brought by them in relation to this competition, and any consequential judgments or awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this competition and
    2. under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages otherwise increased. Subject to any liability arising as a result of its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, the Promoter’s liability for claims related to this promotion is limited to a maximum of three thousand pounds.
      1. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from any entrant’s participation in the competition or from any prize.
      2. All issues and questions (whether contractual or non-contractual) concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
      3. Any other promotions run by the Promoter will be governed by their own separate terms and conditions.

Aldi Terms and Conditions Guess the Flavour Competition 2025

The Promoter  is Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ. Our company number is 02321869.

How to enter:

  1. To enter the competition, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. To enter, Applicants must submit their mystery hot cross bun flavour guess to  guesstheflavour@aldi.co.uk  stating their name, age, the number mystery flavour hot cross bun (e.g., Mystery Flavour 1) and their flavour guess.
  3. Entries can be submitted from on 08:00am 20th March 2025 to 11:59pm 6th April 2025.
  4. All entries received after 11:59pm on 6th April 2025 will be automatically disqualified.
  5. 3 (three) winners will be randomly selected in total, one for each mystery flavour hot cross bun.
  6. For each mystery flavour hot cross bun, one winner will be chosen from all correct and valid entries received during the entry period, by random draw performed by a computer process from 7th April 2025.
  7. Winners will be notified by email, using the contact details provided, within 10 days of the relevant entry period closing date.
  8. Only answers which match the answer in full will be accepted as a correct answer. To be clear, any guesses which include an ingredient or part of the full answer will not be deemed a correct answer
  9. In the unlikely event that no correct answers are received, no prizes shall be awarded.
  10. By entering the competition, Applicants accept the terms and conditions set out herein.
  11. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical failures of any kind or any unauthorised intervention in any part of the entry process, nor for any technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of this competition or the processing of entries.

  13. Entrants acknowledge that other entrants may have submitted ideas and concepts that may be similar to their entry, and that they will not be entitled to any compensation or right to negotiate with the Promoter over such matters.
  14. Entrants warrant that their entries are their own and have not been copied and/or reposted from any other persons.
  15. In the event of any dispute regarding the winners, the decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

Eligibility:

  1. The competition is open to all residents in the UK over the age of 18 with the exception of employees of:
    1. the Promoter;
    2. any business involved or associated with the competition; or
    3. any of the Promoter’s agencies (including any of their parent and/or affiliate companies); or
    4. the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and other household members of any such employee described in this clause.
  2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entrants’ eligibility.
  3. There is a limit of 1 (one) entry per flavour of hot cross bun per person.
  4. Entrants can only win one Prize.   If an entrant who has already been selected as a winner is randomly selected for a second prize, that prize will be redrawn and a new winner will be chosen for the second prize.
  5. Internet access required.
  6. You may only enter the Competition using an email account that you control.
  7. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
    1. automatically generated by computer;
    2. completed by third parties or in bulk; or
    3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or copied;
    4. false name or address, or the provision of any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information;

Prize:

  1. The three winners, one for each mystery flavour, will each receive £1,000 worth of Aldi vouchers.   Gift voucher Terms and Conditions  apply[RC1]  .  
  2. The winners will be contacted by email / via the contact details provided no later than 17th April 2025 and they will be asked to confirm an email address for delivery of the Prize and proof of age.
  3. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If the winners cannot be contacted or are not available or have not claimed their prize within seven days, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the valid entries received before the closing date.
  4. The prize is non-refundable, non-changeable and no cash alternative will be given.
  5. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.
  7. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails  guesstheflavour@aldi.co.uk  or writes to Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the competition.
  8. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter  guesstheflavour@aldi.co.uk. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Data protection and publicity:

  1.   4. By entering this competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.

Ownership and publication of competition entries and intellectual property rights:

  1. Winners may be required to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition. By entering this competition, you hereby assign to the Promoter, and waive your moral rights in, the copyright and all other intellectual property rights whatsoever in your entry and confirm that you have no rights in any promotional or advertising material or similar which arises out of, or is in connection, with this competition.
  2. For the avoidance of doubt, by entering this competition, the entrants agree for their name shared as part of their entry and to be used on Aldi social media channels.

General:
