Grounded In Goodness

Supporting British farmers from the ground up

Grounded in Goodness is Aldi's sustainable beef programme.  Grounded in Goodness farmers commit to selected measures including those aimed at reducing on-farm GHG emissions or supporting regenerative agriculture, delivered in partnership with ABP.

The programme will bring together around 1,000 beef farmers across England, Wales and Scotland who commit to implementing a range of on-farm actions that will improve soil health, biodiversity, animal health and enable knowledge sharing.

Backing British beef for generations to come

We know how much our customers value high-quality British meat, and we are incredibly proud to be one of the UK's largest buyers of British beef. 100% of the fresh beef sold in Aldi's stores is born and reared in Britain. We want to make sure that continues long into the future.

Grounded in Goodness is part of that commitment, helping to create a resilient, sustainable beef farming system. Grounded in Goodness farmers commit to selected measures including those aimed at reducing on-farm GHG emissions or supporting regenerative agriculture, that ensures our customers can enjoy great quality beef for generations to come.

The programme has been designed to put farmers first. We encourage our farmers to produce high-quality British beef whilst also adopting more sustainable farming practices.

The programme is completely flexible, so farmers can choose which actions suit their individual business. It also rewards them for actions they are already taking to make their farm more sustainable.

We're doing this because we believe that, by investing in our beef farmers, we can make our products better for people and the planet and build a more resilient supply chain for the future, and continue to deliver great quality products at unbeatable prices for our customers.
