Ask Aldi

  • Aldi is a chain of supermarkets. It was founded by Anna Albrecht and her sons Karl and Theo, who expanded a small store into a chain of self-service, great value stores where people could pay for goods on account. As their business expanded across Germany, they settled on the name Aldi – short for Albrecht and Discount. The first UK Aldi store opened in 1990. Today, you’ll find our grocery stores all over the world.
  • Currently we have over 1000 stores, with our 1000th opening in 2023. We operate across 11 distinct regions – spanning from Scotland down to South Wales and South West England. We also have a large European and global presence.
  • Aldi doesn’t offer deliveries on groceries. Depending on your location, you may be able to order your groceries for Click & Collect.
  • Aldi sells a whole host of great value products. From award-winning fresh food, through to acclaimed beers, wines and spirits and everything in between. Our great offers and Specialbuy discounts mean there’s always something new to discover.
  • Yes they are! We have won numerous awards for the quality of our products, including our fresh produce, Specially Selected range, Mamia baby line and wine selection.
  • Aldi has a wide range of organic and gluten-free products. Our organic products range from bananas and apples through to prosecco and eggs. We also offer a range of gluten-free products including pasta, biscuits and frozen items. Learn more about our range and pick up tips on gluten-free diets.
  • Check out our careers page to find job opportunities and learn all about life at Aldi. We offer great benefits, competitive pay and a supportive environment to grow and progress in your career.

  • Aldi offers everyday value on a huge range of award-winning products. Aldi own brands are now acclaimed household names, and rotating offers like Specialbuys and Super 6 make an Aldi shop even more friendly on your budget. It’s no wonder we’ve been voted Britain’s Favourite Supermarket by the readers of Good Housekeeping.
