Terms and Conditions for Aldi UK’s Autumn Accessories Broadcast Channel Competition

How to enter:

Applicants will need to:

  • Comment on the Aldispecialbuysuk Broadcast channel post associated with the giveaway

By entering the competition, Applicants accept these terms and conditions.

Entries can be submitted from the time of the post going live 11:00am 03.09.25 until 11.59pm 09.09.25.

1 winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries and will receive the below prize:

  • 1 x pair of Ballet Flats (sizes 6 and 7 available)
  • 1 x Quilted Bag

Terms and Conditions:

1. Applicants to the competition are bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter is Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ

2. To enter the competition, Applicants must be 18 or older and be the holder of a valid Facebook account.

3. To enter Applicants must comment on the Post titled “Okay who needs an Autumn accessory refresh??? Seriously though, we're feeling extra nice today [please include a red heart emoji]” posted on the Aldispecialbuysuk Broadcast Channel called “There’s been a leek in the middle aisle” between 03.09.25-09.09.25.

4. Entries can be submitted from 11:00am on 03.09.25 to 11.59pm on 09.09.25.

5. All entries received after 11.59pm on 09.09.25 are automatically disqualified.

6. 1 winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries and will be contacted via Aldispecialbuysuk by being tagged in a story announcing them as the winner. The chosen winner will need to respond to Aldispecialbuysuk via private message with the requested details within 48 hours of being chosen.

7. By entering the competition, Applicants accept the terms and conditions set out herein.

8. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical failures of any kind or any unauthorised intervention in any part of the entry process, nor for any technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of this competition or the processing of entries.

9. Entries must not contain material that:

      (a) is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory or anything similar;

      (b) promotes irresponsible or excessive drinking; or

      (c) may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity or age.

10. In the event of any dispute regarding the winners, the decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

11. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Applicant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the Applicant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

Eligibility:

12. Only those residents in the UK are eligible to enter.

13. Entries are limited to one per person.

14. Internet access is required.

15. Employees of the Promoter or any business involved or associated with the prize draw, any of the Promoter’s agencies and any of their parent and/or affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible to enter.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to verify Applicants’ eligibility.

17. Any entry that features anyone under the age of 18, must have the permission of and be submitted by their parent or guardian (whom will be the Applicant for the purposes of the competition and these terms and conditions). If a winning submission features anyone under the age of 18, their parent or guardian will be required to enter into a consent form on their behalf.

18. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the Applicants’ eligibility.

19. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:

        (a) automatically generated by computer;

        (b) completed by third parties or in bulk; or

        (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or copied

Prize:

20. The winner will receive 1 x pair of ballet flats (sizes 6 and 7 available) and 1 x quilted bag.

21. The winner will be chosen by a random draw performed by a computer process from all valid entries submitted during the promotional period. The winner will be notified by being tagged in an Instagram story from Aldispecialbuysuk and will be asked to confirm an address for their prize to be sent to. Prizes will be sent by no later than 30th September 2025

22. Starting from the time the reply is sent from the Promoter on the Post, the winner will have 48 hours to respond to the reply via DM.

23. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If no response is received by a winner within this 48 hour period, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be selected at random on the same terms as the previous winner. The new winner will have 48 hours to respond to the reply on the Post notifying them that they have won.

24. The prize is non-refundable, non-changeable and no cash alternative will be given.

25. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.

26. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails aldiuksocialcompetitions@aldi.co.uk or writes to Aldi Stores Limited, Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the competition.

27. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter aldiuksocialcompetitions@aldi.co.uk. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Data protection and publicity:

28. Insofar as the Promotor becomes a controller of any personal data relating to Applicants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the current competition only. The details of the Promoter’s privacy policy including details on how to exercise any rights under the data protection legislation can be found at www.aldi.co.uk/privacy

29. Subject to clauses 26 and 27 above, no personal data of Applicants held and/or processed by the Promoter will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the competition, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.

30. You should not submit any personal data that is not personal to and/or relates specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.

31. By entering this competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.

Ownership and publication of competition entries and intellectual property rights:

32. Winners may be required to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition. By entering this competition you hereby assign to the Promoter, and waive your moral rights in, the copyright and all other intellectual property rights whatsoever in your entry and confirm that you have no rights in any promotional or advertising material or similar which arises out of, or is in connection, with this competition.

General:

33. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that does comply with these terms and conditions.

34. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion if circumstances arise which are beyond its control.

35. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the competition or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person deliberately to undermine the legitimate operation of the competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law and, should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Promoter’s failure to enforce any of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

36. Except where prohibited, Applicants agree that:

        (a) any and all claims brought by them in relation to this competition, and any consequential judgments or awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this competition and

        (b) under no circumstances will Applicants be permitted to obtain awards for, and Applicants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages otherwise increased. Subject to any liability arising as a result of its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, the Promoter’s liability for claims related to this promotion is limited to a maximum of three thousand pounds.

37. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from any Applicants’ participation in the competition or from any prize.

38. All issues and questions (whether contractual or non-contractual) concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
