    Festive Mince Pies

    1 packet of ready rolled shortcrust pastry

    1 jar of Traditional Mincemeat

    1 Medium Free Range Egg

    Icing sugar to dust

    Method

    Heat the oven to 200°C / 400°F / Gas Mark 6

    Roll out the pastry, and cut out the pastry circle bases and stars.

    Next, put the circles into a greased bun tin and press down into place.

    Put 1-2 tsp of mincemeat into each one, and place 1 star on each pie.

    Next, whisk the egg and brush over the star edges of each pie.

    Finally, put the pies into the oven for 20 minutes or until golden.

    Once baked, leave to cool and dust over the icing sugar to serve.
